The Tech-Air® 3 canvas airbag system Alpinestars is designed to be used on a motorcycle jacket, but it can also be used under the jacket, which provides effective and practical protection for V-Twin drivers, tour drivers, those who travel daily to the city and weekend warriors who want to travel protected. The Collision Detection Activation Algorithm Alpinestars has been developed and refined with millions of kilometers of driving data and thousands of collisions, which allows the system to evaluate precisely when to deploy the airbag before an impact or other dangerous situation, such as a low- or high-side shock. In the event that Tech-Air® 3 detects the start of a shock, the system will inflate the protective airbag in milliseconds, which will reduce up to 95% of the impact energy transferred to the driver anywhere that protects the airbag, including all the chest and back. In case of a direct impact of the driver with another vehicle or obstacle, the Tech-Air® 3 system is effective for the 'first impact1', which means that the system is inflated before the driver hits the vehicle or obstacle against which the direct impact will have. With a master chassis built from elastic nylon canvas and a waterproof electronic control unit, the slender and autonomous system can be used under a motorcycle jacket, including a Tech-Air® Ready jacket Alpinestars, or any leather jacket or fabric, provided the jacket has enough space to accommodate the airbag inflated.

• An LED screen, partially hidden in the left chest pocket, indicates the operating state of the airbag. The pocket has a reflective interior to optimize LED visibility and also incorporates a vibrating haptic alert to confirm that the system is activated and alerts the driver when the battery is running out.
• The back protector pocket integrated into the back can accommodate additional passive back protection.

• Tech-Air® 3 uses an integrated and certified lithium ion battery. A fully charged battery will provide the system with 40 hours of active driving time. A low battery will be charged completely in about 4 hours; charging the battery for approximately 1 hour will provide approximately 8 to 10 hours of driving time.
• The gas inflator that provides the inflated gas for the airbag deployment is located in the inflator housing on the left side of the lower back of the driver.
• The gas inflator housing, electronic wiring and airbag are easily dismantled.
• Gas inflators can be replaced by distributors Alpinestars selected and certified Tech-Air® service centers.

Protection:

• The Tech-Air® 3 Canvas ECU protection seal guarantees performance in all types of climate and is certified to operate between -20 °C and +40 °C.
• The ECU has been tested and certified by CE according to different regulations for electronic, radio and electrical safety devices.
• The gas inflator cartridge is CE certified according to UNI EN 16263, which confirms compliance with the safety standard and certifies that the cartridges can be safely manipulated and repaired.
• According to European legislation, the CE brand is a requirement of conformity for the marketing of this product. The following rules apply to this product:
• Once inflated, the Tech-Air® 3 Canvas System canvas system, which protects the chest and the back in full form, is certified as category II EPI (individual protection equipment) according to the European Regulation (EU) 2016/425, according to the relevant part of the EN1624-4:2013 airbag certification standard, which protects the motorcyclists against second mechanical impacts Part 4: Inflatable protections.
